Tulip bulbs from Holland

Hi, my friend has brought me some tulip bulbs from Holland lately.  I would like to start grow them in autumn/winter.  I'd like to know how I should store the bulbs in the meantime?  Should I start putting them in the fridge now (can they be fridged for that long)?  Will they rot if I don't put them in a fridge now (given the hot weather in HK)?  Anything I should be aware of in the care of these bulbs?  Thanks a lot!
