warmer?  you mean 8 degrees Celsius?  That's cold temp of HK in winter!  I think rosemary should like this kind of weather!  Basil should be kept indoor

weather forecast is 12C on the weekend, so warm!!!!! XDD

weekday is around 10C~

the herbs will stay indoor until spring / early summer

12 degrees Celsius in HK is COLD, NOT WARM!
What's the highest temp in summer there?  Some basils cannot live below 15 degrees Celsius

if 12C with sunlight is very warm, feel like 20C and here is not so humid same in HK.

the temp in summer (normal summer) is 26C to 28C.

last yr i tried to plant thai basil and italian basil, and they grew up very good

The hottest temp is 28C - not too hot, very suitable for basil, even rosemary
But the temp of winter is too cold for me, what's the lowest temp in winter?

this yr was around -5C, last yr was around -10C

again, u dont feel it's cold if it's not raining.  

of coz it's too cold for the plants.

i've moved my rosemary to the balcony, let it has some fresh air, nite time i will bring it back into the flat.
