Do you have the Phal.violacea var coerulea "Blue". This blooms a perfectly Ingigo blue & looks like bybrid. Is that a real species? Can I share your experience? Tkz
That's uneccessary to add the cultivar name "Blue" after the variety name, simply write as Phal. violacea var. coerulea is ok.
This is one of Phal. violacea's numerous varieties, this cyaneous variety produce much-more-violet flowers than the type species. this plant has its difficulties in culture, it grows slower than the type species but not as slow as the albino type, for the sake of their genetic defects eventually. For sharing my experience, they desperate a stable environment that under high humidity, and the temperature should not be too low that they are more fragile than Phal. violacea, since we all know Phal. violacea doesn't like cool temperature, or it will die consequently.
