Most Tillandsia like lots of sunlight and relatively high humidity. If you cannot provide adequate sunlight to them but over-water it, it will eventually die.
Grow them well before asking any questions about flowering ~
Sometimes you have to consider relation of various factors at the same time.
Say higher temperature can lead to lower humidity and stronger sunlight can rise temperature significantly ~
If you cannot provide adequate humidity, you have to reduce sunlight for certain degree but it should not be too dark as they need strong light ~ optimal condition may not be possible for most growers and they can only force the plants to accommodate ~
