Thank you for your good luck and your advice.
I have checked from different sources (some friends are full time photographer), there a little between the Nikon 1.7x and 1.4x. Not much difference in the speed of autofocus. However, the same thing cannot be said for the 2.0x.
I did have the chance to take photos of motor racing and airshow before. It was fun taking photos of those F-14, F-15s, F-18s etc. The Lockheed SR-71, BlackBrid was the best I would say.
Sorry to all, I am really 離晒題. I will stop now. Apologise to all once again.
Yes, that is the risk that we will have to take if we want to sit near Turn 1 . Hopefully, the weather will not be anything like they had in Kuala Lumpur last weekend.
If sitting in Grand Stand which has cover, it will be difficult to take good photos of the cars. I had that experience in Dubai (GT racing) and Doha (Motor GP at night!). We could only sit in the main stands. The machines moved so fast in the main straight in front of us, impossible to take meaningful pictures. Especially the night race!
Some pan shots from this morning. As it was still relatively early and dark, was using rather high ISO, ISO800. Mainly was using 1/50-1/80 sec, f/11-13.
Difficult to find a place without lamp posts!
The weather looks better next weekend now. Hope it will keep it that way.
Still need a bit of work to get better pan shots but getting the hand of it now.
Watching Motor GP in Doha on Now.tv now. Excellent stuff!
