今日去中環馬沙食物部, 見到有句咁嘅英文, 唔係好識解, 想請教下各位

孖吉, 你冇睇漏, 佢攪gag啫

其實邊個都知呢個牌寫的是廣告口號，但係就真係低手得可以：
"Know How?"
- "Know how" (知道如何) 和 "Knowhow"/"know-how" (專業知識) 根本係兩回事
- "?" 畫蛇添足，"?" 是問號，好端端一個標題變成 "被質問"。你的履歷沒有寫 "學歷？中學畢業" 吧，無端端做乜要俾人質問？

"between"
- 沒錯，between 是可以用在多於2個人/事，字典也說這樣說也可以，亦有特別情況非用 between 於眾人不可。但真係有好多人都覺用錯，產生誤會。用 among 就沒有了誤會，而這句亦唔係非用 between 不可的特殊情況。所以可以看到行文者粗心大意，考慮不週

between them =
between the "food" and "experts" - describes the relationships between two parties....
Party A - food
Party B - experts

就如中文 :
上司與下屬之間
子女與父母之間
只是形容两方的關係......冇人理會有幾多個人 (就算你有千名下屬！)

原來你想講：

"Our food experts have over a thousand years of experience between them."
="Our food experts have over a thousand years of experience between food and our experts"

咁我唔客氣咁翻譯你呢句說話嘞；
"我們的食物專家抱殘着一千年前對食物的認知處理(現代的)食物"

Lots of non-Chinese love eating this type of eggs,
so "thousand" describes "好嘢黎架".....

好似係我地中學的時候學壞師，Webster 字典咁樣講：

Usage Discussion of BETWEEN

There is a persistent but unfounded notion that between can be used only of two items and that among must be used for more than two. Between has been used of more than two since Old English; it is especially appropriate to denote a one-to-one relationship, regardless of the number of items. 個個月薪只有6仟,1年就要成8仟萬呀

我諗都唔係，佢地只得5個美國人，只精通美國移民上下200年的飲食經驗(仲要係齋嗡)，就係咁多

如果有100個專家，都係得10年經驗？
