I planted 20 PCs "Baby Corn" on his yard for almost 2 months.





The soil in 老豆's yard is not good enough... Corns grow much slower than in pot...





Now I can see baby corns coming out; however, the body of the corn is thinner than  a stick



  Oh, I was wrong.  They are thinner than the woodenstick... pencil thick?!

One of them has 4 babies coming out on its stick thin body...

I took one this evening thinking the corn is ready because the head was so brown...





But I was worng.  Not ready yet.  But the colour is Orange yellow, very sharp.

I cook it in the pot for 30mins... still hard like a rock.  At the end, I gave it to my 2 doggies...  

By the way, does anyone knows what this is?  The topest part of the corn... Thanks

Now the GRASS took over.

粟米咁幼都有收成，我果D又粗又大棵，6棵先得一支

的確估唔到，咁幼都收到咁大支粟米

When I bought the seeds on ebay, it said baby corn...

May be that's why so thin?

I wonder if I should take the babies early when they are baby corn size...

食咗未？睇上去好飽滿，好 OK 喎

I gave it to my dogs.

佢地消化唔到個芯架, 會塞係條腸, 快D拎番唔好俾佢地

會唔會唔夠肥所以太硬呢??????

我覺得主要係缺肥,粟米好食肥架,

陽光不足都係一個問題,是否全日照?

粟米粒係消化唔到, 但都叫做細細粒可以ALL 出黎

粟米心會CLICK 係條腸度, 輕則開刀重則死亡

你CUT 開2 LOOK 佢仲易成舊吞左佢, 唔好搏呀

But this is not eatable... even cooked for 30 mins... it was till hard like a rock.  Should I wait a bit longer for harvesting?  Or I should cut the other too?  

And does anyone know why the top of the havested corn had no corn on it?  Was it not ready for harvesting?
