2014花展 － 狐尾蘭

今日行花展，見到一檔賣小蘭花的檔口～

開頭以為佢賣蘭花苗，原來舖頭主人將蘭花迷李化，MIN SIZE既蘭花可以開花～～

問賣蘭花既EE，佢話佢地無舖頭，只有花場，由玩種蘭花到賣蘭花，佢話遲下可能係花墟開舖～

忍不住買了兩株迷李狐尾蘭種下～～

EE話要換大D既盆，再過一年就開花～～！

所以番到去就即刻換盆換植料～～




第一次種植其他品種既蘭花，希望成功啦～～

I heard that 狐尾 needs very good ventilation and drainage.  In this case, I think big pots may not be suitable for your plants for the pots will hold water more than the plants need.  In my opinion, smaller/ shallower unglazed pots are more appropriate.  In terms of the substrate, fixture of tree bark and tree fern would promote a better growth of your orchids (or you can grow them on a tree bark or tree fern plaque).

I don't know if I am all correct, maybe some experienced bro and sis here can give further advice.  Anyway, hope it helps
