好光性種子。一般用種子繁殖，也可扦插。播種期在早春或秋冬季皆可，發芽適溫為20-25℃左右。將種子播於肥沃之砂質壤土中，覆土後再輕壓，定期澆水並保持土壤濕度，約5天後即可發芽。香雪球喜歡生長在通風、向陽的地方，生育溫度以15-21℃最適，日照、排水要良好，排水若不良，根部易腐爛；倘若天氣變熱，則需將植株移往較陰涼通風的地方，如此便可延長開花時間及生長壽命，甚至越夏。

實際經驗：不覆土，散射光，32℃也能發芽。匍匐貼地，橫向擴張性佳，不用摘心，用6吋盆以上較佳，吊盆也適宜。有花苞後長勢加快。分大花及小花品種，小花品種，花瓣較小及薄。在30℃以上時通風遮光，土面一乾即澆，可以越夏。受不了長時間積水。(70 / 8-3月播)
