Hi 公仔麵, I've been growing my 荷蘭兔仔花 for just over 1 year now. Somehow, my plant seems to have servived the very hot HK summer and its been flowering all year long...
Yes, it will suffer greatly if the temperature rises over 25 degrees or if given too much direct sun light. However, I guess the trick is in water control. This is because more often than not, 兔仔花 died from too much water (root rot) rather than too little water.
Despite the fact that its root system has been sticking out of the pot since 1 year ago, I never gave it a bigger pot.
In fact, I have removed a quater of its original soil in order to create more breathing space for its roots. Please note that the diameter of my 兔仔花 is approximately double compare to the diameter of its pot. Also, I only water my 荷蘭兔仔花 twice a week. I hope this will help your plant survive |
